Show Dem Camp, the prolific Lagos-based indie hip-hop duo composed of rappers Tec (Wale Davies) and Ghost (Olumide Ayeni), have released their latest single, “Italawa.”
The song is a brilliant fusion of rap, soul, and various African music elements, blending traditional highlife and Palmwine music with modern hip-hop sensibilities.
“Italawa” is featured as track 12 on their highly anticipated 17-track album Afrika Magik, which was released on November 3, 2025.
The track, like much of SDC’s work, is produced by Spax Classic, whose sound engineering perfectly complements the duo’s reflective and culturally rich lyrical content.
Finally, the single is a testament to SDC’s unique position in the African music landscape as “custodians of culture,” consistently pushing the boundaries of the Afrobeats and alternative rap genres.
